It is hard to believe that the process to transition your student to Margaret Mead Junior High School has begun! We know the transition to junior high potentially comes with excitement and anxiety. Therefore, Mead takes great care in ensuring your student is ready for their move to Mead before they even arrive for their first day in August. One of the first steps in this process is the Future Mustang Family Night on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The purpose of this meeting is to familiarize you with the curriculum and student activities offered at Mead Junior High School. Mead will also review the procedure for selecting classes and answer specific questions you may have pertaining to your student’s academic programming next school year. Teacher representatives from Mead’s departments will discuss science, math, social studies, language arts, PE/health, and electives. Mead is planning a short program that will begin at 6:00 pm in the Mead gym. Following the program, you will be given an opportunity to walk the building and ask questions you may have about Mead Junior High School. This program is for both parents/guardians and your sixth grade student. Mead encourages you to bring your sixth grade student to this presentation, if possible.
