Sixth grade mathematicians from Mrs. Sargent’s class took their learning outdoors today! To work on ratios and tape diagrams, students stepped out of the classroom to sketch, solve, and collaborate under the open sky. Getting some fresh air made breaking down math concepts all the more engaging! #BeCampi

Our 3rd grade Chinese Immersion students did a mooncake activity for the Mid-Autumn Festival today! Students used mooncake molds to make their own mooncakes out of play
dough. Mooncakes are eaten during Mid-Autumn Festival to celebrate family togetherness and honor the full harvest moon. #BeCampi
Math in action! Today, our third graders explored rectangles and other 2D shapes while discussing what makes a shape a rectangle. We practiced identifying attributes, noticing patterns, and using mathematical vocabulary to explain our thinking! #BeCampi

Learning Comes to Life at Spring Valley Nature Center!
Our sixth graders have been exploring ecosystems firsthand at Spring Valley Nature Center! Students spent the morning exploring the prairie fields, observing and identifying native plants, capturing insects, and looking for local wildlife. Along the way, they discovered how plants, animals, and their environments all work together to create a thriving ecosystem.
What a wonderful way to kick fall by learning, exploring, and getting a little closer to nature!

What does GAMES spell?
For Ms. Zhao's 3rd Grade Accelerated Math students, it spelled FUN! All week long, students worked hard to earn one letter each day until they spelled G-A-M-E-S. Once they earned all five letters, they unlocked a well-deserved Math Game Day!
