Campanelli PTA 2018-2019 Reflection Program – Heroes Around Me Launches
The week of September 10-14 is National Arts in Education Week. A program designed to promote the idea that arts are an essential part of a complete education, no matter if it happens in the home, school, or community.
Reflections is a National PTA arts program which reinforces this by asking students to get creative at all local PTA levels. Campanelli PTA is proud to help deliver this enriching program each year. This year, the program celebrates its 50th Anniversary and students are invited to create works of art in any of six different arts categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts collaborating with the annual theme.
The theme for the 2018-2019 school year is “Heroes Around Me.” Students can create as many projects as they like, in as many arts categories as they like. Guidelines including specific rules per category and entry forms can be found in the Library Media Center (LMC). Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, October 31 in the LMC also.
From our local PTA, projects advance through a judging system through council, district, region, state and national levels of the program. We have had wonderful participation over the last few years with many of our students recognized for moving to the regional and state levels.
