Field Days is right around the corner, May 21st – Rain date May 22nd, and we need your help!
This year we are having an “Olympic” Field Day with some new activities taking place within our “Olympic Village”. K-6 students will participate in the morning and PM Kindergarten and 5/6 grade students will participate in the afternoon.
We need about 50 volunteers to make the day successful. Please consider volunteering for this FUN event!

Do you and your child look forward to Pizza Tuesday and/or Hot Lunch on Friday?
Due to the lack of volunteers we may have to discontinue some or all of the Pizza Tuesday’s and Hot Lunch Fridays next year. If each family could volunteer just one time we would have more then enough volunteers. Please consider volunteering for one of the remaining dates: Tuesday, May 15th ~ Friday, May 18th or Friday, May 25th.
When we think of volunteer most people instantly think of Mom but volunteers come in all shapes and sizes we have several awesome Dad’s and Grandparents that volunteer as well. Please contact Suzelle at jsaguirre@comcast.net if you are able to help.

The Stranger Danger Safety Course will be presented by the National Karate group on
Wednesday, March 21st from 6:30pm – 7:30pm at Hoover Math & Science Academy.
Space is limited so registration is a must!

As part of its commitment to life-long learning, the Schaumburg Township Council of PTAs (STC) offers scholarships for summer programs/camps to District 54 students currently in 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades who wish to broaden their education, talents and experiences. The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, March 23rd, 2012. All candidates will be notified of committee decisions shortly after May 1, 2012.

Hello Readers!
If you are interested in having your monthly Cougars Caught Reading minutes go towards a student ticket for Six Flags Great America, you must complete the Student Reading Log. This form is required by Great America for you to earn this incentive!
The completed form needs to be turned in by Friday, February 17th. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Bennes in the library.
